Integration as a Service: Say Bye to Your Correspondance Table Costs

blog-image

Let’s describe a fairly common situation: a new service is going to be deployed on an app. The service will present sports data and of course video streams. This data comes from several data vendors. Each data vendor has a unique proprietary identifier system. The data is about live games as well as statistical data (historical). They must be associated with an internal identifier used by your own systems, for example to identify programs or channels or templates in the TV graphics renderer. And finally, it needs to be linked to the EPG, an expert mode, a production workflow, a monitoring system, and maybe even a interactive system to connect to the audience, such as a voting system for MVP or match notes.

Sounds familiar? Meet Integration as a Service

In a normal case, the creation and even more so the maintenance of the correspondence table between all these identifiers would take a considerable amount of time, would be a source of errors, and would take up a non-negligible portion of the development effort and therefore of the costs. And with each new flow, the task increases.

The Fluid Datahub has an automatic “integration as a service” service, which makes the creation, population and maintenance of a correspondence table totally unnecessary.

All you have to do is send unstructured text, and retrieve in return an indisputable unique identifier (UUID), which can be used by each of the systems, and even by your editorial team or technical partners.
